ModCloth Make The Cut Contest: 'Prints Charming'
Have you always dreamed of becoming a fashion designer? Well now that dream can come true! The ModCloth Make The Cut program is a recurring design contest that invites the ModCloth
Community to design garments, graphics, or fabric prints. Its main
purpose is to further their mission of democratizing fashion by
producing clothing designed by community members. YOU can become a
designer at ModCloth!

How does the contest work? Entrants will design a new print for a private label dress silhouette that is already being produced! Contestants have two weeks to submit designs. After the submission period, the ModCloth Creative Team will narrow down the submissions to 20, which will be sent to the guest judge, Amanda Needham, Costume Designer for Portlandia. After Amanda has chosen the 10 finalists, they will be posted on the Be The Buyer page for voting. There will be a week for the Community to vote, then ModCloth will contact the winner and update the contest announcement with the big news!
• Contest is Live Now!
• End of Submission Period: Friday 02/14/14
• Launch voting on Be The Buyer: Monday 03/03/14
• End voting on Be The Buyer: Monday 03/10/14
• Winner announced on ModCloth Blog (winner will be contacted personally): Wednesday 3/12/14

// Dressed Up + Casual: Affordable Clothing
I've been kind of Pinterest obsessed again. I get in these random spurts where I love it and then I'm totally over it. Lately, I've been looking up a lot of fashion inspiration and falling in love with all the cute things people put together.. so I took to Polyvore and created a few cute outfits using two new pieces of clothing I received from SammyDress
SammyDress has tons of affordable and cute clothing on their website. I was contacted and asked to do a review of some of their products and I probably spent about a good hour and a half looking for products. They have so much to pick from and such great prices.
I picked out this super cute coffee colored dress. I am love with the color of this dress and thought it would be a PERFECT item to dress up or just wear on any day. The dress comes in a ONE size fits all deal and as for me, I have curves so I was a little worried about it fitting. The only problem fitting wise is that my boobs are way too big for this dress. There is a wire that is supposed to go UNDER the boob, but it doesn't fit mine. Other than that, the dress is perfect. So far, the quality seems to great for 10$. It doesn't feel cheap to me.
I'D PAIR THIS WITH //
- A black cardigan.
-Leggings. (because I hate my white legs hehe)
- Black/brown boots.
-a cute small belt.
- a brown or coffee colored purse.
This dress only costs 10$ and you can view it here.
The next item I ordered was a really cute hoodie plaid shirt. I have been looking for some new plaid because I only had one plaid shirt here + I wanted it to fit baggy. This shirt isn't as baggy as I wanted but I ordered a size Large and it fits me well. Again, the quality here was nice. I honestly don't think you can beat it for 8$ but it was a little on the thin side.
I'D PAIR THIS WITH //
- a white tank top
- ripped jeans.
-a grey infinity scarf (I've literally been DYING over the one pictured from H&M but it sold out + the site won't take my card)
- brown boots.
The plaid shirt was 8.47 and you can view it here
I was kind of bummed because I had two other items picked out and I was told they were out of stock and I was redirected to another page on SammyDress where I was able to pick out these two cute items. Shipping was fast and I was alerted on my phone when the package would be delivered. That was really nice to have because I'm so impatient and always check tracking numbers. (Anyone else do that?)

Home Decor: Easy Canvas Prints.
![]() |
| hanging pretty in my bathroom. |
I'm in the process of getting my own place. A lot has happening in my life recently (I will be posting about it sooner than later) and I think it's best for me to be in Illinois again. This means, I've been doing A LOT of searching for cute home decor ideas. (Yes, I'm THAT girl who plans out everything she wants in her house when she doesn't have the money for it NOR a house.)
Anyways, I was recently contacted by a sweet gal from Easy Canvas Prints and she offered me a free product for a review... so I agreed. I thought it would be PERFECT to have a cute canvas hanging in my new home. I love the look of canvas prints.
I'm a huge fan of words and so most of the wall art I want- is words. I decided I would make my OWN graphic to print on the canvas- so that's exactly what I did.
The website itself is pretty easy to use. I had some trouble getting the image to fit right on the canvas preview. The problem was that the wording was WRAPPING around the actual canvas but after a few tries- I actually got it to work.. or so I thought. When I received my canvas in the mail (super fast shipping + the canvas was totally protected) - I noticed the word SOUL was also wrapped around the back. The good thing is nobody will be able to see it when it hangs up.
Overall, I thought everything about the site was wonderful. I was pleased with how helpful and sweet the lady who contacted me was and I thought the site was pretty easy to use. Here is a coupon code if you want to purchase from Easy Canvas Prints and make your walls pretty too!
What do you think about canvas art?
*I was sent this product for review HOWEVER that does not sway my thoughts on the product itself.

Coola Suncare: Orgnaic Suncare Collection First Impressions
Summer is here + if you're anything like me, you are on the hunt for something to protect your skin from the sun. I'm naturally REALLY pale and I never tan, just burn so sunscreen is something I need to keep me safe during the summer. When I received a Coola product in my Ipsy bag this month, I was so thrilled to see that they were cruelty free. I was then in contact with the company about reviewing their product for you guys.
Shipping + Customer Service:
Product:
I was sent the sunscreen for review but I also want to mention the face moisturizer/sunscreen. The face sunscreen came in my Ipsy bag as a sample size. I have fallen IN LOVE with it. It came in unscented but it still has a very "summer-y" smell to me. I use it at night after I take off my makeup and in the morning before I put my makeup on. I have naturally dry skin and this seems to balance things out for me. I am almost out of the sample size and I am thinking of replacing my other (non cruelty free) moisturizer with the Coola brand. A full size is 36.00, which is a little more than I would want to pay normally.
The Pina Coloda Sunscreen Spray smells so amazing. That's one thing that I really love about this brand, both of these seem to smell so great to me. I also love that the sunscreen spray doesn't make me feel oily. Some sunscreens make my skin feel so oily after I apply it and I hate that feeling. The Coola Pina Coloda Sunscreen Spray does spray on kind of oily but it dries out, leaving my skin feeling just a tad bit dry but nothing I would worry about or that I am concerned with. For this review, I was sent a full size which is valued at 32.00. Again, this is a little more than I would want to pay for a sunscreen. I haven't used the product up yet so I can't say how long it actually lasts but the can feels pretty full. The website says that the Pina Coloda spray is a SPF 30 but the can I received says SPF 35.
Overall:
I have just used the Sunscreen Spray a few times but I think this is a great product. The facial moisturizer is my favorite moisturizer. The only thing I see as a downfall is the prices but if the product lasts a long time, I think it would be worth it. These products are cruelty free & organic. The smells are great and overall I am happy with these products.
You can view all the amazing things Coola has to offer by clicking here to view their website.
What is your favorite brand of sun-care products? Have you ever heard of Coola before? Let me know your thoughts below.
*The Pina Coloda Sunscreen Spray was sent to me for the purpose of review. The thoughts stated above are my own and I was not paid to have them. I really dig these products & that's why I want to share them with you all.

Conscious Box Review: June 2013 (+ Coupon)
I was contacted by Conscious Box awhile back + they sent me a box for review. I was super excited and said yes right away. The box was super fast at getting to me but arrived one day after I had left for a 3 week long vacation. I literally have been looking forward to opening this box since my mom said it came in the mail.
If you're not sure what Conscious Box is, it's a monthly subscription box that comes to your doorstep each month. It costs 19.99 and that includes free shipping. You can pick one of three options: classic, vegan or gluten-free. They offer lots of awesome products that are organic and basically awesome. This was my first box + it came at the best time because as you know, I'm trying to live a better lifestyle. A healthier, cruelty free one. For the review, I was sent a Classic Box.
Opening up the package, it was so neat. It was put together so well. Let's get into what I got in my box + if I think it's worth the 19.99 price per month. In my box I got the following:
Smock Sustainable Paper | Card: Full Size Sample Value: $5.00
Cloud Star | Buddy Wash Original Lavender & Mint Shampoo/ Conditioner: Full Size Cost: $10.45 Sample Value: $0.25
Natural Vitality | Natural Calm: Full Size Cost: $25.95 (30 Count) Sample Value: $0.87
Son for Men | Organic, Vegan, Non-GMO Soothe: Full Size Cost: $13.95
LARABAR Alt | Peanut Butter Cookie Fruit and Nut Bar: Full Size Sample Value: $2.39
This wasn't my favorite of the bunch. It was terrible, it just wasn't my thing.
Skout Bar | Apple Cinnamon (1) & Cherry Vanilla (1): Full Size Sample Value: $2.25
I tried the Apple Cinnamon + it really isn't that bad. I enjoyed it. However, I don't like cherry so I won't be trying the other one.
Organic Flavrz | Boost (2) & Revive (2): Full Size Sample Value: $4.50
Sneakz Organic | Yummy Veggie Nutrition Milkshake (1): Full Size Sample Value: $2.08
I tried this + I couldn't even finish. It was good at first, much like a chocolate milk. Then all the veggie taste hit, not the best combo.
Molly Muriel | Bar Soap (1) & Shampoo Bar (1): Full Size Cost: $12.00 ($6.00 each)
Very excited to try this.
Earth Friendly Products | Organic Lemongrass Hand Soap: Full Size Cost: $3.49 Sample Value: $0.82
Not pictured:
- Greek Island Labs | Joint Mud: Full Size Cost: $49.00 Sample Value: $8.16
- Naked Wines | $50 Wine Gift Card: Full Size Cost: $50.00
Value= over $70
Overall, I thought the value of this box was awesome. I think you totally get your money's worth. I highly suggest it to everyone who is willing to try new things + wants to live a healthy lifestyle. This box will introduce you to many new products + brands. I think I'm most excited about the hand soap + the joint mud.
If you would like to try out Conscious Box, you can use the code FIRSTBOXFREE to get your first box for free, just pay shipping. ($7.95)
This product was sent with the purpose of review, however the above statements are my own. I was not paid to say anything about the products inside or the subscription box itself. This post may contain affiliate or referral links.

Fearless Plugs: Product Review
I have been looking for some cute new plugs to help me reach my goal size + a few weeks ago, I was in contact with Fearless Plugs + decided to buy myself some. I really liked the cute and affordable plugs Jessica had listed in her Etsy shop, so I bought two new pairs.
(wearing Floral Cameo plugs in white/yellow)
Each pair that I bought was $13 and I was able to use a discount code to save me 15% (Valentines Special) so my total ended up being 25$ for two pairs with shipping. They are currently offering bundles of 3 plugs for 25$ with free shipping. (Offer valid until March 7, 2013)
(wearing Floral Cameo plugs in white/yellow)
Floral Cameo plugs in size 5/8
Overall, I love the plugs. I have yet to wear the Coral Rosy ones yet but will hopefully size up soon. I like that each pair comes with o-rings, too. The only thing that I noticed that I wasn't fond of was the fact that on my floral cameos you could see the glue. Jessica makes these plugs herself so if that's the only thing I didn't like, I think she's doing great.
My overall thoughts on Fearless Plugs:
- Jessica is a great person to work with. She's fast at replying and answers all my questions.
- Fearless Plugs has a cute selection of plugs for an affordable rate + even offers package deals.
- The plugs came in fast and had cute packaging.
- The plugs have good quality, though I didn't like that I could see the glue on one pair of plugs.
- I would recommend this company to my readers based on the experience I had with them
