TopHatter + Why It's AWESOME.

I love finding new apps for my phone and I LOVE finding apps that can get me sweet deals. I've always wanted to buy high end makeup brands but never want to pay the full price. I saw this advertised a lot on my Facebook newsfeed so I decided to give it a go and see what it's all about. 

When I first dowloaded the app, I felt a little overwhelmed because I wasn't sure what I was doing. I've only been using for a few days so I'm not sure of all the ins and outs but here's what I do know so far.

Tophatter has auctions where they auction off products people want. For example, I am currently chilling in the "Designer Cosmetics" auctions + I just won a Stila Palette. I won the Stila "In The Know" Palette for 14$ (plus shipping) which normally costs $39.00. Then I won theBalm's Meet Matt(e) palette for 15$ (retails $42).. It's seriously amazing. They have many other auction types that you can join in on.

 To win an item, you go into the auction and bid. It's just like any other auction. You go in and they start with a price (which is determined by the seller) and you bid until it's won. Once you win an item, you can pay via your PayPal balance and have it shipped to you. It's very similar to eBay. I've seen Benefit prodcuts, Clinque,  Urban Decay and many other big brand names go for cheap.

The downfall is sometimes things DO go for more than they retail but some sellers allow you to get refunded if you find a better deal somewhere else. I just saw a Sephora eyeliner set go for 65$ when it retails for like $30.

The cool thing is that if you're new to TopHatter, you can use the code "10872e" to get a $5 credit. That means you get basically $5 for free to use towards your first purchase. I can also email you a code if you wish but it's all worth a 5$ credit. Once you get the app, you get a code to give out to your friends + it will help you get credits too.
