I have been on a liquid lipstick kick lately. With so many companies making their own versions, there are plenty on the market right now. I've tried a few different kinds but I've been really wanting to try the NYX Liquid Suede lipsticks. NYX is one of my favorite brands and these liquid lipsticks are only 6.99 which is pretty affordable. There are 12 shades currently available, but I picked up 4.
First, I should say that these are pretty hard to get your hands on. Both the NYX and Ulta website have been sold out for weeks and a lot of ULTA stores are sold out as well. I'm thankful my ULTA store had recently restocked (Thanks Anna for the heads up) and I was able to get the ones I wanted. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on these and I wanted to give my first impressions today.
These do dry matte. I've seen some reviews saying these dry with a glossy finish, but so far for me, these dry matte. They do take a while to dry, though. It's not an instant matte. I find that a little easier to work with though. These are super comfortable to wear and are super pigmented. The swatches below was one swipe and these are also easy to apply. I have such a hard time with liquid lipsticks and these were easy for me to apply. So far I'm loving these lipsticks and I can't wait to wear them more and get a better feel for them.
