SARAH | MODEL

I love working with models and honestly- I think that's the direction I want to start taking my photography. Since I've started booking regular sessions, I've noticed that I really THRIVE whenever I have a model who is willing to let me control every aspect of the session. I worked with Sarah + my other photographer friend, Anna on Sunday and I can honestly say these are easily some of the most favorite photos I've taken to date.

I contacted Sarah after seeing her model for my sister in UNBOXED. I think Sarah is SO beautiful and I wanted very badly to take her photos. I finally got the courage to message her on Facebook and she agreed. I told Sarah my ideas for the session and she seriously NAILED in on the outfit. I honestly can't believe how beautiful she is and how well my ideas came to life. The original location I wanted to shoot at was PERFECT- but it was too hard for my chair to get back too, so Anna suggested and we decided to shoot there.

The session took place later in the evening, which is good and bad. We had to hurry for the sun but I am overall pretty pleased with the photos I took. Let me know what you think in the comments.

I didn't post every photo from the session- just a few of my favorites. I would LOVE to know your thoughts below.

  4. Thank you! That makes me feel so happy. I stopped taking pictures for a few years after my car accident but I finally ordered a new lens and took photos at my step sisters wedding and knew how much I missed it and HAD to get back into it!

  5. Such pretty photos! What you said about being able to control everything made me think of Gilmore Girls when Lorelai says "I can be flexible. As long as everything is exactly the way I want it, I'm totally flexible."

  8. I've ALWAYS struggled with being "bossy" but I didn't realize what a control nut I am till recently as well. I guess "bossy" people get things done faster! ;)
