Medusa's Makeup Review + A Giveaway

I was searching the Peta website the other day to see what companies I could try out that were cruelty free. Among searching I found out about the company called Medusa's Makeup. The name totally caught my eye (on the Peta website, it just has boring links with their names. No pictures or anything to draw you in) so I went to their website. and knew from the looks of it I needed to look into this more. I loved their style.

After looking around on their site for a little bit, I knew I wanted to feature them on my blog. They had fun bright colors + I was so excited. I was able to pick out what product I could review. I picked a lip gloss but I knew I wanted to review another product. There was SO much to choose from. I had Mikal help me pick out an eye shadow color + he picked a purple color from the Safari collection called Xtinct.

 Shipping + Customer Service:

I emailed the company about a review and it took about two days to get a reply. They were super sweet and gave me all the info I needed to order. Once I ordered it took about 3 days to get to me and I picked the cheapest shipping (which was around 7$ I believe). I was happy with the service I got + the time it took to get to me but it didn't really stand out to me as anything amazing.

Packaging:

The packaging on both these products is black with their logo. The lip gloss as a lighten bolt on the cap which I think is super cute. The packaging on the lip gloss feels super nice + sleek but the eyeshadow is a bit cheap. The plastic cap in the middle has fallen out (you can snap it back in though).

Products:

Both of these products are 8.00 on their website. I think that this is an affordable price for these products. The lipgloss is very thick + creamy (kind of like E.LF. lipgloss) and has a really good smell to it. It has a doe foot applicator for easy application.

The eye shadow seemed much brighter on the site but I was so happy with how it looked when it came to me in person. It has some shimmer too it but it takes a few coats to actually show color.

I really liked both of these products.

The video below shows swatches + has a better in dept details of these products.

If you want to enter to win a giveaway I'm doing for Medusa's Makeup, watch the video, click the THUMBS up button and leave me a comment on the video (or if you don't have a YouTube comment here ) telling me what you would want to win. I will be picking a winner at random next week (Sat. July 27th)

I don't know WHY the sound gets messed up half way through it.

*The lipgloss was sent to me for the purpose of review. This does not sway my thoughts on the product or the company itself.

  1. Medusa's is awesome! I didn't think of this before, but my friends from TH have their own makeup company that is vegan. I have modeled their eyeshadow for them before. They rock, it's all loose powder and really sparkly, and very pigmented. I think you would really like them. they also are selling set of 3 samples for $1 right now so you could try them for cheap! http://ticktockcosmetics.storenvy.com/
