My Mini Trip Back Home.

I had the wonderful chance to make a small, last minute trip back home. One of my uncles was having a dinner for the family + I wanted to be there to see everyone. I have a rather large family + we are pretty spread out, so I knew I wanted to spend some time with them. I haven't seen a lot of them since my wreck (which has almost been six months ago, time flies) and I thought it would super nice to catch up.

My brother picked me up on a Thursday night + we got back in Illinois about midnight. I woke up Friday + had three mini sessions to do. It was a lot of fun to be able to work with three amazing clients. I had a baby shoot, a family + a couple. I shared the couples photos a while back. I had so so much fun being able to try out my new lens (75-300mm) I also had the chance to photograph my sister and her husband. My little niece joined in for a few photos too. Many people think that Kaydence is my sisters daughter, because they look so much alike, but she's actually my brothers daughter. My sister + her husband are adopting though, so soon I will be an aunt again for the second time. I am so excited + I just can't wait.

Saturday, I had a lunch with my best friend + then came home to finish getting ready for the dinner that night. I had a slight problem + I was home alone. I haven't really reached the point where I feel 100% confident in myself to do things by myself. However, everyone I knew to come help couldn't come or didn't answer their phone. So, I took a leap + managed to prove myself that I am pretty capable of doing a lot of things on my own.

As soon as I made it to the dinner, I was slammed with gifts, hugs + pictures. I was super excited about getting a film camera from my uncles + a new camera lens mug. (so I can sip tea in style) It was super fun to be able to talk to my family + catch up with everyone. It was a little sad because my dad couldn't make it in in time to be there for the dinner but here's a few photos. (:
