Ipsy June 2013 Review

This Ipsy bag was really awesome. The bag itself was so nice. The colors, the prints + even the quality was amazing to me. I think this will be replacing the chevron bag in my purse as my new favorite.

In my bad this month I recieved the following:

Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tickle Me Pink: Full Size $12.00
J. Cat Eyelashes + Eyelash Glue: Full Size $3.99
J. Cat Sparkling Cream Pallete: Full Size $4.49
Nyx Blush in Angel: Full Size $5.00
Cailyn Cosmetics  Line-Fix Gel Eyeliner w/ Brush Builtin in Iron: Full Size $21.00
As you can see, this bag is already valued at more than you pay for the subscription itself.
Total Value = $46.48

I'm excited to try these. I have been wanting to try false eyelashes for a while + I'm hoping these will do great for me. As I said above, I have really long eyelashes + don't really NEED false ones but it's fun to try new things.

I'm a fan on NYX. I reviewed one of their lip products a while back + it's my new favorite. NYX is an affordable brand that offers awesome products that are cruelty free, so when I heard that NYX was in this months bag I was stoked. The blush is a color I wouldn't normal go for but I think it pairs well with my skin. The color is described as a soft matte pink, but when applied I would say it's more like a peach. The color on my skin is very pretty, very subtle with a slight glow. I am pretty excited about this product.

I've never used a lip liner before + to be honest, I was kind of scared to try this out. I used it on my lips + the pencil broke but the color looked awesome on my skin. It looks more like a pink color but when on my lips, it was a really light red color. I am excited to pair this with some of my lip colors to see which one looks best. What color would you pair it with?

I love sparkles + I was really excited about this product when I saw it. At first, I thought it was just glitter with a bad payoff but after playing with it for a while, I realized it has a creamy texture to it. The payoff still isn't amazing, but I think you could do a lot of neat things with this.

I think this gel eyeliner is going to be good. I wish it was darker but over all, the product is great. I swatched it on my skin + the brush applies a nice straight line so I may actually be able to do a good cat eye. I think this would be great added with a smoky eye.

If you're thinking about trying out Ipsy, it's only 10$ a month + you get 4-5 beauty products plus a cute bag

This product was purchased with my own money. All Thoughts stated above are my own + I was not paid to say any of it. This blog post may contain referral/affiliate links.

  1. I love the idea of this box, something that I will have to look into. When it comes to fake lashes, yah I am pretty bad also! But I have been trying them out and we just need some practice. You'll get it though :) Another thing, who doesn't love some sparkles?!
