What I Wore: Family Christmas

Not trying to toot my own hoot but I've been throwing together some CUTE outfits lately. I plan on sharing my FAVORITE outfit on the blog sooner or later (when I get some good snaps of me in it) but today I'm sharing what I wore for my family Christmas yesterday. It was a very simple outfit and totally affordable too. The dress itself was only $10!

I decided this was a great outfit to wear for my family Christmas + had my sister snap a few photos of me before we ate dinner. Of course, my cute niece wanted to join in. I also would recommend wearing a tank top (I wore a nude one) under the dress because it does fall down a lot.I didn't get a full picture of the dress, but the link below shows it very well.

// Dressed Up + Casual: Affordable Clothing

I've been kind of Pinterest obsessed again. I get in these random spurts where I love it and then I'm totally over it. Lately, I've been looking up a lot of fashion inspiration and falling in love with all the cute things people put together.. so I took to Polyvore and created a few cute outfits using two new pieces of clothing I received from SammyDress

SammyDress has tons of affordable and cute clothing on their website. I was contacted and asked to do a review of some of their products and I probably spent about a good hour and a half looking for products. They have so much to pick from and such great prices.
coffee

I picked out this super cute coffee colored dress. I am love with the color of this dress and thought it would be a PERFECT item to dress up or just wear on any day. The dress comes in a ONE size fits all deal and as for me, I have curves so I was a little worried about it fitting. The only problem fitting wise is that my boobs are way too big for this dress. There is a wire that is supposed to go UNDER the boob, but it doesn't fit mine. Other than that, the dress is perfect. So far, the quality seems to great for 10$. It doesn't feel cheap to me.

I'D PAIR THIS WITH //
- A black cardigan.
-Leggings. (because I hate my white legs hehe)
- Black/brown boots.
-a cute small belt.
- a brown or coffee colored purse.

This dress only costs 10$ and you can view it here.

plaid.

The next item I ordered was a really cute hoodie plaid shirt. I have been looking for some new plaid because I only had one plaid shirt here + I wanted it to fit baggy. This shirt isn't as baggy as I wanted but I ordered a size Large and it fits me well. Again, the quality here was nice. I honestly don't think you can beat it for 8$ but it was a little on the thin side.

I'D PAIR THIS WITH //
- a white tank top
- ripped jeans.
-a grey infinity scarf (I've literally been DYING over the one pictured from H&M but it sold out + the site won't take my card)
- brown boots.

The plaid shirt was 8.47 and you can view it here

I was kind of bummed because I had two other items picked out and I was told they were out of stock and I was redirected to another page on SammyDress where I was able to pick out these two cute items. Shipping was fast and I was alerted on my phone when the package would be delivered. That was really nice to have because I'm so impatient and always check tracking numbers. (Anyone else do that?)

Have you ever shopped SammyDress? What would you pair these two items with?

*These products were sent to me in the purpose of review. The thoughts stated above are my own.

I'm Not A Fashion Blogger

Like, at all. BUT this outfit was a favorite of mine. I wore it yesterday as we were going out to a friends for dinner. I didn't NEED to get dressed up but it's nice to get ready every once + a while, right?

I had been looking for a shirt like this one for a while. I know they're very popular + i just really liked the look if it, so I picked one up on sale at Forever 21 + I love it. I paired it with a aqua shirt underneath. For the pants, I wanted to pop color. I had these red-pinkish pants from Charlotte Russe that I never really wear because I just don't know what to pair them with.  I think together these are a perfect pair for each other.

My hair was kept down, I wore a spiked headband with it. For my makeup, I used a gray gel eyeliner to add a cat eye + then used Revlons Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in the shade "Romantic". It's the most perfect shade of red for my skin BUT Revlon isn't a cruelty free brand so once I use it up, I will be replacing it with another brand. (Probably Tarte. I also used Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk on my water lines + used Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes for my mascara.

Shirt: Forever 21
Purse: Maurices
Pants: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Maurices
and to end this post, I'll leave you with a picture of me standing in the outfit. I kind of dig this standing stuff.. I will have a video all about my progress soon.
don't forget I posted two sweet giveaways yesterday. You should enter them.
