Paralyzed Diaries: A Look Back

I know this may be a little sad to see from some people, but I know I have a lot of new readers and I wanted to share some of these photos from my wreck. My uncle took pictures of my blazer after it had been towed away from my accident scene. I was in the hospital and I wanted to see pictures of it. I know a lot of people say it's not good to expose things like that but I wanted to see. Kind of for closure and more so because I didn't realize how serious things were.

I look back at this and see how lucky and blessed I really am. The roof barely missed caving in and smashing my head.. this right here helped save my life. God is so good.

There's something Disney Princess in my car.. and I don't know what. I am sure it was for my niece but I just thought it was funny you can see it.

This is a picture of where I was transferred from an ambulance to a Life Flight helicopter. They transferred me in a soccer field. At this point, I was in shock and they had been putting a lot of pain medicine in me and I remember being like "Did you guys pick the bumpiest field to transfer me in? Hello.. I just broke my back." I felt so sassy. Of course you can't see me here, whoever that is was someone running to help get me transferred.

I can't believe it's been a year and two months since I became wheelchair dependent. I look back at these photos and realize how much God loves me and how blessed I am to still be alive today. It's actually a good thing to see these photos and realize I overcame something and that this is just the start of amazing things God has planned for me.

If you want to read about my wreck, you can view this post. I wrote it while I was still in the hospital, it has all the details.

I have some really exciting news that I hope to be sharing soon about my injury but I don't want to jinx myself. If you could, please send positive vibes/prayers my way because this is huge for me. Pray that Gods will be done.. He has my back.

also, I just want to let you guys know that all the ads I sale on this blog and all the things I sale from my blog sale will help go towards therapy.

AND good news, I got a new laptop and I'm using it right now. I have to wait to get all my files transferred but I will be back to working very soon. Thanks for being so patient.

  1. I am sending good vibes your way! I was in a pretty bad accident that will cause me problems for the rest of my life. My injuries are not as bad as yours so I can not imagine what you are going through. It helped me to also see the pictures of the car and how lucky I was to be alive. It provided me closure as well! btw it does feel like they take the bumpiest, longest roads ect when they do those transports.

    1. I am so sorry to hear that. I know how much a injury can change your life. & they do. I kept asking for more pain medicine because the driver of the ambulance was taken curves and stuff so fast.. I really wanted to sleep but they didnt let me until i got on the helicopter.

      thanks for the good vibes.

  2. It is amazing how bad of a wreck that was, but how the roof wasn't crushed in over your head.. That's God! Who took the pic with the helicopter?
